Diaries : autograph manuscript, 1818-1834.

Consists of eight vols. of diaries: v. 1 (1818-20); v. 2, with a list of all her possessions (1821-23); v. 3 (1826, 1829); v. 4 (1830); v. 5 (1831); v. 6 (1832); v. 7 (1833); v. 8 (1834). Contains daily records of events, including housework (spinning, quilting, baking, pressing cider, churning butter, making sausage), and social visits, with summary lists of deaths and marriages, and frequent references to sermons she has heard. On Nov. 9, 1833, she mentions Henry Clay's visit to a neighbor.
